We are proud to provide the full range of dental treatment that is available 'on the NHS'. This includes RA gas sedation and many treatments often considered to be cosmetic dentistry, such as crowns and veneers.
"More teeth are lost through gum disease than tooth decay."
A scale and polish helps remove plaque and tartar which cause gum disease. Advice to prevent plaque and tartar build-up is given.
When fillings become too big, crowns can be a better option to restore the teeth.
We recommend the use of sports mouthguards where there is a risk of mouth injury during sport. Mouthguards come in a range of thickness, colours and designs to match team colours – including Celtic, Rangers, Scotland (... and Irvine Meadow.)
StormDental are enthusiastic supports of the Childsmile programme.
The Childsmile initiative aims to give 0-6 year old patients the best possible start in dental health. The parent and child are given toothbrushing advice and demonstration.
We check that all is well with the diet of the child. The dentist paints fluoride varnish on to the teeth to strengthen the surface to combat decay.
Kerrie, Laura and Gillian are fully qualified Childsmile nurses and all deliver the Childsmile Programme.
We carry out a full and comprehensive examination of the mouth. For further details, click here.
Where the appearance matters, white fillings can be provided on back teeth. This treatment is not available 'on the NHS'.
We carry out all our extraction 'in-house'. For patients anxious about treatment we offer gas-and-air sedation to make the experience as pleasant as possible.
We are happy to visit elderly and housebound patients in their own home. We provide dental cover to residents of the local nursing home.
Usual NHS dental fees apply for treatment at home but there is no charge for the house call itself.
